Image Editors

Picasa - It is my personal favorite. I just love this software. Every time you open Picasa, it automatically locates all your pictures and sorts them into visual albums organized by date and folder names you will recognize. You can drag and drop to arrange your albums and make labels to create new groups. Also, you can edit photos by changing the lights, effects, you can also crop photos , etc. Picasa makes sure that your albums are always organised.

Corel Draw - CorelDRAW Graphics Suite is an impressive collection of powerful design software that can tackle all sorts of design jobs. Included in the package are: CorelDRAW, the main application for vector design and layout; Corel PHOTO-PAINT, for editing and retouching photos, Corel CAPTURE, for screengrabs; ConceptShare, a collaboration service; and the Bitstream Font Navigator. There are also a bevy of smaller utilities such as a bar-code wizard and an app for helping users optimize two-sided printouts.

The Gimp - One of the most powerful general-purpose image editors around, the upgrades make the GNU Image Manipulation Program eminently comparable to Photoshop. Older features include channels, layers and masks, filters and effects, tabbed palettes, editable text tools, perspective clone, improved printing, and color operations such as levels. It is best for Linux.

PhotoPerfect - PhotoPerfect claims it is a digital photo editor's dream come true. With a plethora of options and tools to dial in your pictures, this is certainly an impressive weapon. This program presents itself much like other photo editing software. Anyone who has tinkered with Photoshop or comparable programs will recognize the layout of command buttons.

PicPick - PicPick describes itself as "all-in-one design tools," and indeed it is. This program makes us think of a Swiss Army Knife, or perhaps a well-stocked, well-organized desk drawer. There are all kinds of helpful tools here, and we think PicPick would be useful to Web designers, graphic designers, and even the average computer user who occasionally needs to work with graphics.

Photobie - This freeware program even emulates more popular apps like Photoshop in its presentation and interface. The screen is dominated by a generous space for the picture to be touched up. you can create a 3D cube, make a screen capture, and actually produce GIF animation with your picture and changes.
